Originally ordered this light to go in between my two large monitors as my webcam sits in between them as well. Turns out that the supplied mounting system doesn’t attach to regular monitors. The clip only opens up about 1/2″.
That is when I went back to read the description and it’s pretty clear that this is for a laptop. No big deal because I can adapt. Well it doesn’t do a good job on the laptop either.
There is an opening in the mount that should allow the webcam to not be obstructed with the light mounted but then the light isn’t stable. I’ve included an example of the top part of the webcam being obstructed by the mount when fully seated.
The only other thing is definitely nitpicking but I would expect the power button to be one of the end buttons instead of a one of the middle buttons. When the light is mounted on the laptop, I have to reach behind the laptop to turn on or off. I’d prefer to have it be a no brainer by having the ON/OFF on the end button.
The light helps. My set-up has plenty of natural light so this is more of a fill light for me. It does that job.

I do a lot of Zoom conferencing. Many years ago I was a professional photographer, so I have a concern for good lighting that borders on a fetish. The features that attracted me to this light are the advertised brightness, the “bar” configuration (as opposed to the ring lights you see more commonly) and the ability to model the color temperature.
On all these counts, the light is fantastic. It throws a very bright and very diffused light, adjustable in fairly fine increments, and there are 3 color temperature modes that should cover pretty much any need for video conferencing. It comes with an integrated USB-A plug, so it is literally plug and play.
Based on the pictures in the listing, I was thinking this light would be larger, and I intended to use it as a main light with my 27″ iMac. The light is actually only about 11″ long, and very light-weight, obviously designed for laptops. I would go ahead and use it in my main setup anyway, except the clip that comes with it to snap it onto the top of a monitor doesn’t work with the tapered edge of the iMac and is too small to work on either of my side monitors.
It does come with a little tripod, and the ability to change the orientation of the light by moving the tripod mount on the light – very clever design! The mount on the light is a standard tripod thread – good engineering – so I dug out an old desktop tripod I had laying around that would raise it higher. I’m using it vertically on the desktop between the iMac and one of the side monitors, and it makes a very nice side fill light to balance the overheads.
As I said, this light is PERFECT for my Macbook Pro, so if I eventually find another solution for the main system, I’ll throw this in the laptop bag for the rare occasions I conference using the Macbook camera. I took away a star because that clip only had to deliver about 1/8″ more travel to work on the side monitors, and/or a little bit of rubber on it to give it the grip to work on the iMac. Still, this is a great light.

The video light colors and mounting works as advertised, its only drawback is it does not get bright enough for use in an office environment where the room lights provide a backlight which puts you into silhouette.
This light isn’t bright enough for daytime office use. Night use and dimmer rooms it works fine.
